The text you type into that small search box is called your “search query,” which then directs you to a page similar to the image below. This page is known as a SERP or Search Engine Results Page. Even various studies have found that the higher you are on the SERPS the more likely you are to gain attention to the website.

Search Marketing is divided into two main categories:

–SEO (Search Engine Optimization): Gaining search engine listings via unpaid tactics.

–PPC (Pay-per-click or paid advertising): Gaining search engine listings via paid tactics.
